Can anyone identify this unknown deep
south sawmill? Its a large sawmill with a electricity, and that
be a powerhouse on the right. I would date this from anywhere between
though due to the quality of the print place it circa 1930. Please let
know if anyone can help place this scene.
From Ed Vosatka:
This is the sawmill at Oldsmar, FL, c. 1919. This photo is in the Florida Photographic Collection, catalog no. N032414. http://fpc.dos.state.fl.us/general/n032414.jpg Incidentally, the building at the right is a dry kiln. To the right of it is a log loader, but I can't tell if it's a Decker, McGiffert, or what. The power house is on the left. Unfortunately, there are no other photos of this mill in the collection.
